Partnerships
As part of an improved environment for care, CAMH facilities need to be integrated with other functions (university facilities, related research buildings), shared community spaces and commercial uses (restaurants, cafes, retail) in order to allow the stigma of an institution to disappear into the rhythmof normal daily activities associated with city living. Sharing spaces with the community, such as the Workman Theatre, the pool and recreation facilities, the daycare centre, meeting spaces, etc., will contribute to this goal. Therefore, various public-private partnerships will make up approximately half of the site's 2.5-3 million square feet of building space.
