CAMH Publications 2003Providing leadership in creating better understanding, prevention and care

Welcome to our latest catalogue of publications. At the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), our goal is to provide leadership in creating better understanding, prevention and care. Each of our unique publications maintains that vision for the therapists, doctors, nurses, front-line workers, and other professionals who use our materials, and for the clients and their families who look to us for up-to-date resources on addiction and mental illness.

CAMH was created in 1998 through the successful merger of the Addiction Research Foundation, the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry, the Donwood Institute and the Queen Street Mental Health Centre. We are a teaching hospital fully affiliated with the University of Toronto. Internationally, CAMH has been designated by the World Health Organization as one of only four Centres of Excellence in mental health and addiction.

In this catalogue you will find practical, research-based resources -- grounded in client-centred harm reduction and health promotion -- in the areas of substance use and addiction, mental health, concurrent disorders, trauma, policy and research, clinical tools, and public education. Whatever their topic, our resources all share one key feature: a foundation of solid research and evaluation, giving you the confidence that no better information is available in the field.

We invite you to read through our catalogue of publications and send us your feedback on our current resources, as well as your ideas and suggestions for new materials. You can also visit our Web site at www.camh.net to find out about new titles that become available or for further information on our organization.

Un grand nombre de nos publications sont offertes en français. Veuillez voir au verso pour obtenir de plus amples renseignements.
