Interview Opportunity: Expert Available to Address Anxiety
Concerns Regarding SARS and West Nile Virus
For immediate release: May 5, 2003 (Toronto): Due to recent public health
concerns such as SARS and West Nile Virus, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health
(CAMH) has arranged for Dr. Neil Rector, Head of CAMH's Anxiety Disorders Clinic,
to be available to answer questions on mental health, anxiety and coping with fear.
CAMH has also arranged for the following experts to answer questions on other
mental health topics during Mental Health Awareness Week, May 5th - 11th, 2003:
- Neil A. Rector, Ph.D., C.Psych;
- Psychologist & Head, Anxiety Disorders Clinic -- coping with anxiety due
to SARS and West Nile Virus
- Dr. Irvin Epstein
- Clinical Director PRIME Clinic, Psychiatrist -- identifying the early signs (youth
12 - 25 years of age) of schizophrenia and psychosis and the importance of early
intervention
- Susan Morris
- Clinical Director, Dual Diagnosis Program -- special challenges of living with
a mental illness and a developmental disability
- Jessica Spence
- Occupational Therapist, Home Intervention Program, First Episode Clinic -- helping
individuals and families in the community who are dealing with psychosis
- Dr. Bruce Ballon
- Head, Youth Addiction Services, Psychiatrist -- young people with problem addiction
