The JournalWelcome to the Journal of Addiction and Mental Health, the only magazine exploring issues in addiction and mental health in Canada.

Since 1998, the Journal of Addiction and Mental Health has provided a unique perspective on current mental health and addiction-related issues through professionally written and first-person stories, research summaries, news and feature articles.

Following a readership survey sent out with the January/February issue, we reviewed the mandate of the Journal and decided to implement some changes to reflect what readers find most useful. For instance, we will be moving from bimonthly to quarterly publication starting in September, with more pages per issue. With a greater number of pages, we will be able to publish more in-depth stories on topics that interest readers.

In addition, we are narrowing our target audience to emphasize professionals, front-line workers and other allied professionals. Centre clients and families will continue to receive information on Centre programs and services through other publications such as Breakthrough and At the Centre.

To better serve our francophone clients, we will be diverting financial and francophone staff resources into broad-based francophone materials and ceasing publication of the French edition of the Journal.

The Journal remains committed to providing accurate, informative coverage of relevant issues. For subscription information, please call 416 595-6059 or 1 800 661-1111 outside Toronto. E-mail: marketing@camh.net
