especially Ontario. In 2000 that original mandate was broadened to start
a phased evolution as the Corporate Archives for the permanent records

as well as to the Archives. It was formed two decades ago (originally
called the Museum of Mental Health Services Inc.) to support the emerging
archival and heritage programs at the Queen Street Site. Since the 1998
merger, the Friends have broadened their focus to support archival and

Planning and Evaluation
Response Team (PERT)
The Planning and Evaluation Response Team (PERT) provides consultation
in program planning and evaluation for substance abuse and mental health
agencies and systems, community committees and coalitions. PERT provides
several specific consultation services, including helping agencies or
community groups develop a Logic Model and an Evaluation Framework.
The Logic Model is a "picture" of the agency's primary services,
short and long term objectives, and intended outcomes of the services
they provide to their clients. The Logic Model can be used as a guide
to plan for new services, or as the first step in planning for an evaluation
of their services.
The Evaluation Framework is the second step in planning an evaluation.
Derived from the agency's Logic Model, it helps agency staff identify
specific evaluation questions that they are interested in, what data
need to be collected, data collection methods, and the resources that
will be required to successfully engage in an evaluation. PERT consultants
provide on-site consultation, workshops, and telephone consultations.
PERT consultation services are available at no cost to any publicly
funded substance abuse or mental health agency in Ontario.
