About the Workman Theatre Project

The Workman Theatre Project is a not-for-profit, professional theatre company which operates out of the Joseph Workman Theatre at the Queen Street West site of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. The company integrates people who receive mental health services with the Toronto arts community.

It has 150 members and numerous projects, including the annual Rendezvous with Madness Film Festival coming up in November. Rendezvous presents an international menu of features and shorts that touch upon the facts and mytholody surrounding mental health and related issues.

The Workman Theatre Project aslo includes lunchtime theatre, busking and theatre training programs. Other WTP arts events include Being Scene and the Images 2000 Art Exhibit, a collaboration with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health which runs until June 2001.
