CAMH Salary Disclosure 2002

			Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), as a publicly funded hospital, is bound by the provisions of the Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, to publish the names, positions and salaries of employees receiving annual salaries of $100,000 or more. The $100,000 figure means salary before taxes, and does not include taxable benefits. However, for those who are paid $100,000 or more, the total value of these taxable benefits must be disclosed. The definition of salary paid and taxable benefits is identical to that on the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency T4 slip. The 'salary paid' on the T4 slip may not be the same as the salary rate for the position, or the salary earned in 2002. There may be differences from such things as retroactive pay or overtime. CAMH is a teaching hospital and has several senior and academic staff who receive compensation from the University of Toronto. Compensation from any other sources is not reflected in the information provided in the 2002 disclosure notice. In addition, medical staff are not employees of CAMH and don't receive T4 Slips from CAMH -- consequently their salaries are not disclosed under this legislation.
