We need to talk more openly about our mental
health and addictions problems: Now we can.
The
R. Samuel McLaughlin Addiction and
Mental Health Information Centre, a new initiative from CAMH,
will increase CAMHs ability to reach and support Ontarians in need
of assistance. The McLaughlin Addiction and Mental Health Information
Centre will serve Ontario through:
- An enhanced toll-free Information Line, including Information and
Referral specialists and audio-taped messages.
- A telephone support line staffed by volunteers providing informal
and/or peer support
- Web-based information on a range of topics.
- A store-front Information Centre
- New print, audio-taped messages, and web materials in 16 languages.
The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), as a publicly funded
hospital, is bound by the provisions of the Public Sector Salary Disclosure
Act, to publish the names, positions and salaries of employees receiving
annual salaries of $100,000 or more. Complete
list.

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is committed to creating
a culture of shared values and behaviours consistent with the mission
and core values of the organization. More
on the policy, priorities, commitment and expecations...

Workplace Health Consulting Services addresses a wide range of substance
use and mental health issues, tailored to an organization's needs and
budget. They can work with companies to design mental health and substance
use policies to facilitate information sessions to communicate these policies
to staff, and to train managers, supervisors and employee representatives
in the implementation of these policies in the workplace. Some issues
include: alcohols and drug use in the workplace; mental health in the
workplace; violence in the workplace; understanding, preventing and managing
aggressive behavior; problem gambling and employee assistance programs.

An update on the strategic planning process and
includes the recommendations that have resulted. We are in the process
of reviewing our strategic plan and will provide updates periodically
to reflect the ongoing achievements related to new strategic directions.
